What is Center Bore?

The center hole is a machining hole in the center of the wheel, designed to be mounted on a flange extending from the hub. This flange places the wheel in the hub center while the lugs are tightened to prevent the wheel bouncing that could cause vibration. However, hub flange sizes are not standard and vary from vehicle manufacturer to vehicle manufacturer.
