What is TPMS?

TPMS is the abbreviation of “Tire Pressure Monitoring System” for the real-time monitoring system of automobile tire pressure. What is TPMS valve?

The valve stem ultimately connects the sensor to the rim. Valves may made of snap-in rubber or clamp-in aluminum. In any case, they all serve the same purpose — to keep the tire’s air pressure stable. Inside the stem, a brass or aluminum stem will be installed to control airflow. There will also be rubber washers, aluminum nuts and seats on the clamp-in valve stem to seal the sensor properly to the rim.

Why need to change the TPMS rubber valve?
