Wheel width (J value): tire width is determined by it
Rim width (J value) refers to the distance between the flanges on both sides of the rim. The “6.5″ in the new wheels refers to 6.5 inches

2.Rim Offset (ET): Whether it rubs the car body or not is determined by it
The unit of rim offset (ET) is mm, which refers to the distance from the center line of the rim to the mounting surface. ET comes from the German EinpressTiefe, literally translated as “pressing depth”. The smaller the offset, the more the rear wheel hub will deviate from the outside of the car. If the offset of the new wheel hub is larger than the original wheel hub, or the width is too large, there may be friction in the vehicle suspension system. In this case, we only need to install gaskets to reduce the hub offset to solve the problem.

3.The center hole of the wheel rim: whether it is installed firmly or not is determined by it
This is easier to understand, it is the round hole in the center of the wheel rim. We should also refer to this value when choosing a new wheel hub: for a wheel hub larger than this value, a Hub Centric Rings must be added to be firmly installed on the car bearing shaft head, otherwise the direction will tremble.

Take Volkswagen Golf 6 as an example. Its hole pitch is 5×112-5 means that the hub is fixed by 5 wheel nuts, 112 means that the center points of the 5 screws are connected to form a circle, and the diameter of the circle is 112mm.
