What is TPMS?
In the high-speed driving process of a car, tire failure is the most worrying and difficult to prevent for all drivers, and it is also an important reason for sudden traffic accidents. According to statistics, 70% to 80% of traffic accidents on expressways are caused by punctures. Preventing punctures has become an important issue for safe driving. The emergence of the TPMS system is one of the most ideal solutions.
TPMS is the abbreviation of "Tire Pressure Monitoring System" for the real-time monitoring system of automobile tire pressure. It is mainly used to automatically monitor the tire pressure in real time while the car is driving, and to alarm tire leaks and low air pressure to ensure driving safety. An early warning system for the safety of drivers and passengers.
What is TPMS valve?
The valve stem ultimately connects the sensor to the rim. Valves may made of snap-in rubber or clamp-in aluminum. In any case, they all serve the same purpose -- to keep the tire's air pressure stable. Inside the stem, a brass or aluminum stem will be installed to control airflow. There will also be rubber washers, aluminum nuts and seats on the clamp-in valve stem to seal the sensor properly to the rim.
Why need to change the TPMS rubber valve?
Rubber valves are exposed to different weather conditions throughout the year, which can lead to certain aging over time. In order to ensure driving safety, the aging of valve nozzle must be paid attention to. We recommend replacing the valve every time a tire is changed.
